On 5 December, the international community celebrates World Soil Day 2025, established by the United Nations under the theme “Healthy soils, the foundation of a resilient future.” The day aims to raise global awareness about the pressing need to protect and restore soils, an essential resource for food security, climate regulation, and biodiversity conservation.
According to the UN, over 33% of the planet’s soils are degraded, largely due to erosion, pollution, loss of organic matter, and unsustainable land management practices. This year’s theme highlights the crucial role of healthy soils in creating stronger ecosystems and societies capable of facing climate challenges.
At MediTerra, we recognize soil health as one of the cornerstones of sustainable development. Our work focuses on soil restoration, sustainable land management, and the promotion of regenerative and environmentally responsible agricultural practices.
We firmly believe that investing in healthy soils means investing in a better future for all.
