On 5 June, the world celebrates World Environment Day, the United Nations’ leading platform for raising awareness about environmental challenges and promoting concrete actions to protect our planet. The 2026 edition focuses on climate change under the theme #NowForClimate, an urgent call to act in response to a reality that is already affecting ecosystems, communities and economies around the world.
The campaign, led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), reminds us that the time to act is now. Scientific evidence continues to show that the impacts of climate change are becoming increasingly visible and that the decisions we make today will shape the quality of life of future generations.
